Six Flags Magic Mountain is announcing a new offering for Santa Clarita: “Battle For Metropolis” will open Wednesday, July 12.

Six Flags Magic Mountain’s new “Justice League: Battle for Metropolis” debuts an interactive “video game” that guests can ride, according to the Six Flags Magic Mountain website.

“Really, you are immersed in a video game,” said Sue Carpenter, Six Flags’ communication manager. The ride is a “4D ride experience with wind, fire, mist, fog and special effects,” where guests can become a part of the Justice League Reserve Team and engage in interactive battles with some of DC’s most notorious villains.

In the “Battle for Metropolis” guests are invited to help the iconic super heroes: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg and Green Lantern save the city of Metropolis from Lex Luthor, The Joker and Harley Quinn.

“We are really, really excited,” said Carpenter. “We’re thoroughly impressed with all the ride manufacturers… and we can’t wait to share this experience with the rest of the world.”

The Grand Opening ceremony will take place tonight and can be viewed live from the KHTS Facebook page, and the park’s Youtube channel, beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride the ‘Battle for Metropolis’ ride, or 42 inches tall to ride with an adult. To buy tickets for the park today click here.
