Olive Branch Theatricals presents the stage play “The Explorers Club” at The Main in Old Town Newhall this Friday.

The theatrical collective is scheduled to perform “The Explorers Club” Friday, May 12 at 8 p.m.

The play, written by Tony-nominated playwright Neil Benjamin and directed by Donna M. Manfredi, is described as a “madcap zany farce.”

“This hilarious band of explorers and their hi-jinks keep the laughter coming quickly and furiously in the best tradition of the British farce,” said Timothy Hart, CFO for Olive Branch Theatricals.

The play received the 2013-2014 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play.

Olive Branch Theatricals is a musical theatre and performing arts nonprofit in Santa Clarita. The collective aims to bring the community together through the arts, according to their website.

“The Explorers Club” is scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings through May 27, with 2 p.m. matinee performances Sundays, May 14, 21 and 28. The May 14 matinee is set to be a sensory-sensitive performance.
