The Santa Clarita Artists Association is looking for donors to help the organization fulfill it’s “2020 wish list,” officials said Saturday.
The Santa Clarita Artists Association relies on donations from the Santa Clarita community to provide programs to residents, and organizers have a “2020 wish list” of goals for the coming year.
Officials first aim to raise funds for hosting a two-week art show, featuring Santa Clarita Valley high school student artists, with funds going towards supporting the show, including framing their work and awards.
“We also want to add additional money awards to the already existing Scholarship program. Our next wishes are Gallery improvements. This historical building is in need of a heater repair, updated signage, and new outdoor lights,” said SCAA Fundraising Chair Dody Rogers.
The Santa Clarita Art Gallery sits tucked next to the parking lot at 6th and Main streets and houses exhibitions from local artists.
The SCAA plans to recognize all “2020 wish list” donations from individuals and businesses on their official website for a year, as well as offering a subscription to the SCAA newsletter.
“We hope you will decide to be a ‘2020 wish list’ donor of SCAA and help us ‘make visual art visible’ in Santa Clarita,” said Rogers.
Anyone who decides to donate is encouraged to visit the website to donate using a credit card or PayPal.
Checks made payable to Santa Clarita Artists Association, Inc. are also accepted, donors can mail checks or a receipt available on the website to: 26893 Bouquet Canyon Rd. STE #305 Santa Clarita, CA 91350-2374.
