On April 16 at approximately 4 p.m., officials were notified that search crews had located the body of Siddhant Thottapilly, the elder child of the family, who was the last to be found.

The body was located submerged in the Eel River, near Confusion Hill, approximately six miles north of the crash site, on US 101, in Mendocino County, ABC News reports.

The Thottapilly family went missing April 6.

The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that searchers located the car Sunday and recovered the bodies of 41-year-old Sandeep Thottapilly and 9-year-old Saachi Thottapilly.

The Mendocino County Sheriff, in conjunction with the Mendicino County Coroner’s office, said during a Friday news conference that the body of an adult female was recovered about seven miles south of where the Valencia family’s car is believed to have gone off an embankment. That body is believed to be Soumya Thottapilly.

Officials do not believe there was foul play involved in the fatal crash.

The Valencia family includes the father, Sandeep, 42; the mother, Soumya, 38; their son, Siddhant, 12; and their daughter, Saachi, 9.
