Kennedy-Nay, who has been an employee at Rowland Air for two years, married her husband less than two weeks before the accident and is the mother of a 6-year-old boy, Rowland Air employees said.

Company employees created a Go Fund Me page online Wednesday to collect donations for Kennedy-Nay’s family, and are asking anyone able to make a donation to help alleviate medical expenses to do so.

Their listed goal is to raise $100,000, and the site collected $1,785 in donations in its first three hours.

Munir Jeryous Albichara, 65, of Canyon Country, who was also struck in the crash, was declared dead at the scene minutes after Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies received the report of the incident.

Kennedy-Nay and Albichara were in an unmarked crosswalk when they were struck, according to Sgt. Rich Cohen of the Sheriff’s Station’s Traffic Unit.

Drugs and alcohol were not believed to be a factor, but the crash is still under investigation.
