The L.A. Fitness on Newhall Ranch Rd. and Copper Hill Dr. temporarily closed down around 10 a.m. Wednesday after a report of a chemical gas leak at the business.

Officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed that the report was a result of “somebody (who had) mixed bleach and ammonia.”
First responders received the call at 9:53 a.m. and were on scene by 10:01 a.m.
A spokeswoman for the gym said that the location would remain closed for at least four to five hours, and that the gym may need to remain closed for the rest of the day for safety reasons.
