At 11:08 p.m. Friday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department were called to the 28000 block of Prairie Lane in Canyon Country, according to Supervisor McBride with the department.

“It was a stabbing,” McBride said.

Initial reports indicate that the stabbing may have occurred in Palmdale earlier in the evening with an eight-inch kitchen knife, with the victim driving back to their residence in Canyon Country before calling for medical attention, according to officials on scene.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital with advanced life support as a result of injuries sustained during the incident, according to McBride.

No suspects had been taken into custody in connection with the incident as of 11:30 p.m. Friday.

The condition of the transported individual was unknown as of Friday night.
