When looking for a plumber in Santa Clarita, no one provides the unique combination of efficiency, pricing and stellar customer service quite like Whitaker Plumbing.

Family owned and operated, Whitaker Plumbing understands that when a plumbing disaster arises a friendly face along with excellent service is just what you and your family need to get your home plumbing back up and running.

In a recent interview with the KHTS Hometown Morning Show, Brian Whitaker and Shane Mihalovich of Whitaker Plumbing sat down with hosts Tori and Kyle to talk business, plumbing tips, and more.

The Santa Clarita based plumbers understand that there are lots of misconceptions when it comes to the dos and don’ts of home plumbing and wanted to clear some of these up.

Whitaker warns against putting pretty much anything down your drain, “You want to scrape as much of the food as you can off your plate and into the trash can. And then just the bare minimum wash before you put it in the dishwasher,” Brian explains during the segment.

Mihalovich adds that all sorts of things can clog your drain, putting an emphasis that pouring grease down your drain is to be avoided. The Santa Clarita plumber goes on to explain that grease can be misleading because while it is a liquid when it’s hot ,once you pour it down your drain and it cools into a solid it will become a blockage in your drain.

Whitaker Plumbing is a family owned and operated business, with Brian and Shane sharing they’re in fact cousins during the interview. They remark on how Brian taught Shane plumbing after an injury prevented him from working his old job. That’s the kind of people you find at Whitaker Plumbing, they look out for each other and their community.
