The family owned and operated Santa Clarita printing company Feathers is a one-stop shop for business owners and residents alike in need of commercial store-front signs, car wraps and other printing services.

Established in 2004 as a one-hour photo shop, Feathers has grown to become Santa Clarita’s premier printing company, specializing in illuminated store-front signs, graphic design, creative designing, car wrap installation and much more.

“You don’t have to go to any other shop– you can do everything in our shop,” said Vice President David Hoyos, who co-owns Feathers with his father, Jose Hoyos, and brother, Alejandro Hoyos.

“We have clients that have been with us for at least seven to 10 years because they keep coming,” Hoyos continued. “One day they need a sticker, another day they need a sign repair; another day they need some shirts embroidered. They keep coming and coming because they don’t need to go anywhere (else) for their services.”

Because the store is family-run, the Feathers staff are able to keep their prices competitive and maintain personal relationships with their customers in a non-corporate atmosphere.

“We like to keep the clients in more of a friendly environment than just a corporate environment where you just go and get your order and you don’t get any attention from them,” Hoyos said. “We get a lot of clients who come in and they just want to chit-chat.”

Most printing services at Feathers are performed in-house, eliminating the need for “rush charges” to have orders sent out quickly like some competitors. Feathers graphic designers are also available for customers to work with on-site.

Car wraps on commercial vehicles are particularly popular with local business owners, because unlike more traditional methods of advertising, there is a one-time cost for what could be years of advertising visible to the public instead of hidden inside a publication.

In addition, all of the business information is portable and can be seen not only outside the store front, but wherever the vehicle is driven or parked.

“I call the vehicle a mobile billboard,” Hoyos explained. “You can park in front of your store and it has all your advertisements, so it’s just like a billboard right in front of your store. Plus when you leave in a vehicle, you’re dragging your billboard everywhere.”

Feathers staff also specialize in making local businesses stand out with store front signs featuring LED-lit channel letters and light boxes, and commercial sign repair and interior signs are also available.
