The Nasmyth Group aerospace company has moved their North American headquarters to Santa Clarita, opening a new metal surface treatments facility in Valencia.

On Thursday, the Nasmyth Group, a UK-based aerospace company, opened their new North American headquarters in Valencia.

“Opening a new facility in the Santa Clarita Valley is a great opportunity for Nasmyth Group as well as for our customers,” said Peter Smith, CEO of Nasmyth Group, back in June. “We will be able to deliver finishing services to the very best standards with all the certifications required by our customers. The relocation of Nasmyth Group’s U.S. headquarters to the SCV also demonstrates the group’s global reach and ambition, which was recognized recently by the Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200.”

The state of the art NADCAP certified processing line will be able to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will feature a new $5.5 million production line and full non-destructive test department and laboratory, according to Nasmyth officials.

Nasmyth Group’s mission is, “To be a full-capability supplier of precision engineering, addressing requirements for high-quality product required for global aerospace, defence, marine, medical, instrumentation and specialised automotive markets,” according to the company’s website.

That mission was one of the key factors in Nasmyth Group’s decision to locate their new facility in Santa Clarita, as it will allow to company to be closer to their customer base.
The Nasmyth Group facility joins a growing host of other advanced manufacturing, aerospace and defense firms operating out of the city, according to officials.
