With the new year right around the corner, you can celebrate a “new you” for your home by updating your kitchen, bathroom or floors through Surfaces USA in Castaic.

This is the time of year that homeowners are taking down their everyday household decorations and replacing them with festive holiday decor, creating the perfect opportunity to see what parts of the house are in need of an update.

“As soon as you take (decorations) down, it’s very bare; you kind of see the bare-bone minimums,” said Jen Brown, interior designer and owner of Surfaces USA. “You see what you’re really looking at, and all of a sudden a light bulb goes off– hey, let’s go ahead and let’s redo this. So it’s a great time to start planning that.”

Brown is offering customers some extra holiday incentives around the showroom to encourage them to take advantage of the opportunity to bring in the new year with a new look for their home.

“What better time to do it as you’re getting everything taken down for the holidays?” she said. “Start the first of the year (with a) brand new kitchen, brand new bathroom– whatever it is that you need to redo, it’s the perfect time to do it.”

Because the team at Surfaces USA is also comprised of experienced interior designers rather than salespeople, personal project managers can help homeowners bring their vision for their home to life with as little stress as possible.

“We want to take the anxiety and the stress that comes along with making these massive changes or these major decisions in anyone’s one, we want to take that stress away,” Brown said. “Let us help you with the process. Let us make it an easier, make it a fun transition, because it really should be– it’s your home, it’s someplace that’s your sanctuary.”
