“We do have a heart for smaller businesses,” Martinez said. “We understand the challenges that come with running a small business. We weren’t (always) as big as we are now.”

The experts at PCS Group keep their clients’ profitability in mind and do their best to stretch every dollar spent as far as possible.

“Our focus is on being able to come in and working with you to understand what it is that you’re trying to achieve with your IT, especially when it comes to spending,” he said. “We want to make sure you’re getting the most bang for your IT investment.”

As a company, PCS Group technicians strive to ensure their clients’ technology is making their business run more efficiently so business owners can focus on serving their customers or growing their business, Martinez added.

“The technology is supposed to serve you– not the other way around,” he said.

One common problem PCS Group technicians address for their clients is data backup and recovery, a vital component of any business that uses technology in its day-to-day operations.

While many Santa Clarita business owners know how to backup their data regularly, they often find themselves unable to actually access it if needed, according to Martinez.

“There’s two things to think about; there’s backing up the data and then there’s recovering the data,” he said. “You cannot have one without the other… We simplify it. There’s some very sophisticated software that won’t break the bank that makes it very easy to recover that data.”

In addition, clients in need of adding workstations to their business– be it another computer, tablet, etc. –often find themselves unable to do so themselves because of the way their network is set up.

Businesses using what’s called a “peer to peer” network will only connect from one workstation to the next, according to Martinez, while a central server is usually required to add additional workstations.

PCS Group technicians can assist Santa Clarita businesses with IT issues like these, and strive to keep their approach simple and understandable.

“We don’t want to try to talk terabytes and all other names that a lot of times people don’t really understand,” Martinez said. “We keep IT issues as simple as possible.”

“We’re working with clients that are just frustrated with excessive IT issues,” he continued. “That’s really what we do. If you’re having bottlenecks in your workflow or not enough connectivity on your WiFi… those things should not be happening as frequently as we tend to hear. We’re here to help you.”
