Coffee with a Cop is a casual event in which community members can talk with specific zone deputies.

“If there is a problem or issue in the community, they have a place to go,” said Lewis. “They can call the deputy specifically.”

Each zone leader is assigned to a different part of the community,

The event is held for deputies to get out in the community and for the members to ask questions and get to know their zone deputies.

“People really need to put aside old cliches about cops, we’re human beings, we all have families, we all live in the community…” he said. “We’re here to serve the community.”
