Nobody has filed all of the required paperwork to run for Santa Clarita City Council in April, but the SCV Chamber of Commerce is betting that by the time the filing period closes Jan. 13, more than just the two incumbents will have qualified for the ballot.

To separate the wheat from the chaff, the chamber has scheduled a candidates forum for Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Hyatt Regency Valencia.

Councilmembers Bob Kellar and Laurie Ender are up for re-relection.

The event will double as the chamber’s quarterly luncheon. Doors open at 11 a.m. and the program begins at 11:45 a.m.
