Command Studios Hosts First Blues Jam; Will Be Posted Online

1104_command_logoCommand Recording Studios in Valencia will host its first “Open Blues Jam” for Santa Clarita Valley blues musicians on Thursday, Jan. 5 starting at 7:30 p.m.

“It’s not like any other jam you may have gone to,” said studio co-owners Robbie Altschuler and Matt Twining.

“For one thing, there’s NO host band! Just bring your guitars, keyboards, sticks or whatever to play. There’s a complete back line with mikes and a vocal booth, too. An early start time allows everyone to get in some quality playing time.”

Here’s the best part: “As a bonus, the entire night is recorded and mixed live!” Altschuler said. “The sessions are then edited and posted on Facebook/Soundcloud for all to hear. Not only do people get to play, but they can also hone their recording skills while having a high-quality recording of their playing available online 24-7.”

There’s water and coffee available at the studio plus a refrigerator so jammers can take their own beverages.

Thursday’s strictly blues jam follows Wednesday night’s general jam at Command, which also starts at 7:30.

Command Recording Studios is located at 25327 Avenue Stanford #106 in Valencia.
