Officials from the city of Santa Clarita are offering up to $500 to anyone who brings information that may lead to the citation of a person responsible for local illegal firework activity this New Years.

Each year, city officials work closely with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station to ensure that additional staffing and law enforcement is in place to crack down on illegal firework activity, and to educate the community on its potential dangers.
“The No. 1 complaint we and the Sheriff’s department hear from our residents on the Fourth of July and New Year’s Eve onto the early hours after midnight are the huge rockets people shoot off,” said Mayor Pro Tem Marsha McLean. “If the reward helps in any way, it will be worth it.”

For the purpose of this specific crime, the reward will be distributed only to those who provide information which leads to the successful citation of individuals participating in the usage of illegal fireworks, said city officials.
Once a citation is successfully written, the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station will notify city officials about the citation.
If the information given is valid, the contributor will then be eligible to collect their reward, according to city officials.

In the event there are multiple contributors reporting the same information, the reward amount will then be divided in a way that city officials deem appropriate.
Residents are encouraged to provide information regarding illegal fireworks usage by calling the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at (661) 255-1121.

California continues to disrespect our people in our communities by not allowing ICE agents come through to Santa Clarita Mobile Home Parks which are filled with illegal aliens who harass others people. Most Americans are kind trusting people and speak English. Today, our communities are disgusting and we are racist when we complain reason most of us Americans are not safe. Shame on anyone who continues to shove third world disrespect down the rest of us. We the people will and are pushing back every day and if California does not start deporting illegals. I have seen things in my life just by walking to my mail box on Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Hwy that only if I was in a third world country it make sense it be allowed, in 10 years living here being American is against the law. The rich un-American people are not helping and the more I am so glad President Trump is in office because America is a safe place and now speaking English is racist, such disrespect in our country. Fire Crackers are huge in Hispanic communities if we made sure people only spoke English and treated everyone the same like America always did in the past before Obama type of thinking was allowed in California open border nonsense we would not be using our tax money to help destroy our own country just to keep helping illegals.
