Community Fundraiser Launched For Olive Terrace Server Injured In Car Accident

A member of the Olive Terrace Bar and Grill team is facing a long road to recovery after a serious car accident left him hospitalized, according to a GoFundMe campaign organized by coworkers.

“Our friend and co-worker, a dedicated member of the Olive Terrace Bar and Grill team, recently experienced a life-changing car accident,” the fundraiser states. “He is currently in the hospital facing a long and challenging road to recovery.”

Those who work alongside Richard Sereci describe him as someone who consistently showed up for both his coworkers and customers. “As someone who has always shown up for his colleagues and customers with a smile, it’s heartbreaking to see him in this difficult situation,” the GoFundMe page reads.

The accident resulted in serious injuries and also left him without a vehicle, creating additional obstacles during his recovery.

“The accident not only left him with serious injuries but also took away his car, making daily life and the journey to recovery even harder,” organizers wrote.

The campaign says the financial impact has been significant, especially during the busy holiday season when Sereci is unable to work as a server. “With mounting medical bills, the need for ongoing rehabilitation, and the inability to work as a server during the busy holiday season, he is facing significant financial stress,” the page states.

Funds raised through the GoFundMe will go toward essential expenses while he recovers. “The funds raised will go directly toward his medical expenses, rehabilitation, rent, and essential living costs while he is unable to earn an income,” according to the campaign.

Coworkers at Olive Terrace Bar and Grill say they are rallying together to support him and are grateful for any help the community can offer. “Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser, every bit of support brings us closer to helping our friend heal and return to the community he loves,” organizers wrote.
