Congressman Mike Garcia, R-Santa Clarita, announced that high school students in his district can now submit their artwork to the Congressional Art Competition.
The victors will be invited to a ceremony in Washington, D.C. and their artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol’s Cannon Tunnel for a year.
“I’m pleased to announce the 2024 Congressional Art Competition is officially underway,” said Rep. Garcia. “This year, high school students will submit their artwork inspired by the theme of ‘aviation.’ We have some of the brightest and most talented students in the nation right here in CA-27, and I look forward to seeing their work and welcoming the winning artist to our nation’s capital.”
Students can participate in the contest by submitting a two-dimensional artwork and a student release form to any of the district offices of Representative Garcia by April 26, 2024.
This year’s topic is aviation; each student’s artwork should reflect that.
All forms and details can be found here.
