Embrace Your Smile Orthodontists Celebrates Grand Opening Of Second Location

Embrace Your Smile Orthodontists celebrated the grand opening of a new location in Valencia, in addition to its existing one in Newhall, to provide better access for their patients in the Santa Clarita community on Thursday.

During the grand opening, Embrace Your Smile received certificates from State Senator Scott Wilk, Assemblywoman Christy Smith, County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The second office is located off of Smyth Drive across the street from Valencia High School.

With this new location, Founder Dr. Steve Gilbertson plans to grow with his two other orthodontists, Dr. Megan LeCornu and Dr. Pete Weber, along with the Santa Clarita community.

“It’s great because I started out in Newhall 30 plus years ago and the community has grown tremendously so it’s really nice to have a second location out here closer to the center of all of the new growth out here. It’s very exciting,” Dr. Gilbertson said. “We strive to do excellent quality work at a reasonable price and we really try to take the utmost care of our patients and treat them with respect and try and honor their busy schedules.”

The orthodontists decided to open a second location in order to ease the burden and provide more options for their patients.

“We were needing more space and we decided to go ahead and do two locations so it’s a little more convenient for our patients, they have more options, and it’s easier for them to get their kids off to sports practice afterward,” Dr. LeCornu said. “I think that we are a really unique practice and in our practice, we have two board-certified orthodontists. There are only about 25 percent of orthodontists in the world who are board certified, so I think something that separates us is that we provide high-quality results and we look at cases from a different perspective.”

In addition, she describes the impact that they have with their patients outside of their office walls.

“We become a part of their lives and that’s what I think has been super awesome for Dr. Gilbertson, for me, and for Dr. Weber is that you are not just straightening their teeth, enhancing their lives that way, you are actually becoming a part of their life,” Dr. LeCornu said. “We work with a lot of sports teams in our community and I go to their ‘Superbowls’ at the end of the season and cheer them on. You get to know your patients really well.”

As far as what the future holds, Dr. Weber describes the key to success with their patient care.

“The most important thing to us is patient care and treating our patients like family and doing what’s best for them so you know we’ll see,” Dr. Webber said. “We serve our patients what they need and their interests the best.”

  1. I have needed braces for years but always thought that braces were to costly for me and frankly I didn’t believe that braces could really correct my teeth as they were really misaligned. I appreciate you educating me on the value of braces and help me understand how affordable braces can be. Thanks!
