Extremely Quirky Destinations For Santa Clarita Residents To Visit – The Cheez-It Stop

Why take the family to France when there are a slew of local unusual destinations, like the Cheez-It Stop waiting to be discovered?

In the fifth part of a multi-part series, KHTS uncovers unusual destinations Santa Clarita families can travel to for their “quirky” vacation.

Less than a three-hour drive from Los Angeles, the world’s first and only Cheez-It gas pump is waiting to fill road tripper’s cars full of bags of the cheezy snack. The best part of this limited-time roadside attraction is the classic American cheese snacks are free!

“We know many Cheez-It fans love to travel and they never hit the road without their beloved Cheez-It. We created this brand-first desert outpost to capture the excitement of summer road trips and encourage fans who Want It. Need It. Cheez-It. to fuel up throughout their adventures,” said Erin Storm, brand senior director for Cheez-It.

The vintage gas station roadside attraction gives the desert view a new photo opp spot for Kellogg’s fans and travelers heading to Joshua Tree.

Inside the Cheez-It Stop, visitors can shop for Cheez-It collectibles, exclusive merchandise, and a variety of Cheez-It flavors.

The limited-time Cheez-It Stop is scheduled to be open until June 11. The rest stop is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 61943 Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree.
