Another Santa Clarita resident died from an apparent fentanyl overdose in Saugus Wednesday.
Around 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of an apparent fentanyl overdose on the 28000 block of Newbird Drive in Saugus, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
L.A. County Firefighters pronounced the patient dead on arrival, according to Arriaga.
LASD narcotics detectives are investigating the death.
This overdose death comes less than 24 hours after five patients were hospitalized for fentanyl overdoses that occurred at Bouquet Canyon Park on Tuesday evening, less than one-quarter mile from the Newbird address.
