The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center is set to reopen in the next several days after a shutdown that lasted nearly seven months.
After a closure that lasted for more than six months, the dive pool at the Santa Clarita Aquatic Center is reopening on Feb. 27.
Lap swim is scheduled to be open at the following times:
- 5:30 to 7:00 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday
- 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
Reservations are not required for lap swim. However, those who would like to swim during the 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. time slot can make reservations online.
The SCAC was closed in early August for facility repairs.
The shutdown was expected to last about 6 months.
The project included repairs to the 50-meter pool and dive pool at the center. Sections of their decks were set to be fixed, and both pools were expected to be replastered.
During the closure, the city continued to offer programs at other city-run pools.
