Currently, Anthony “Tony” Princiotta is listed as the party at fault on the police report taken following the crash, according to Rick Patterson, a founding partner of the firm. Owen, Patterson & Owen officials are seeking to prove that Princiotta was innocent in the crash.

“The officers do the best that they can,” said Rick Patterson. “But it is usually skewed against the victim, who is transported to the hospital unconscious, and the alleged facts are provided by the driver of the other vehicle.”

On Monday, Dec. 3, 33-year-old Princiotta was riding his motorcycle down to the Santa Clarita Elks Lodge to assist with a “Monday Night Football” dinner to raise money for charity.

Unfortunately, Princiotta never made it to his destination.

Surveillance video from a gas station less than a mile away from the lodge shows a vehicle in front of Princiotta rapidly changing lanes at Sierra Highway and Campus Drive before suddenly coming to a stop, essentially not giving Princiotta any time to react, according to Anthony Garcia, vice president of Elks Riders.

“I got my truck and went to the scene,” said Garcia. “I was hoping it would be a broken collar bone, but when I saw him on the ground, I was in shock.”

After being in critical care at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital with a brain injury, Princiotta was taken off of life support on Wednesday night, according to family members.

“I am so sad to announce that the most incredible man I know, my best friend, my confidant, my partner in crime, my husband has been taken from me,” said his wife, Deanna Princiotta. “I will never be the same without you, baby.”

One eyewitness has already come forward and met with Owen, Patterson & Owen, but officials say that they need all the testimonies they can get a hold of.

“The bar is very high to meet the court’s standards of proof and expert testimony,” Patterson said. “We must leave no stone unturned, and eyewitness testimony is an important element to our success in resolving a case. To that end, we are seeking the input of everyone who saw the accident or heard it.”

Anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact Owen, Patterson & Owen at (661) 799-3899.

  1. This sounds like the radio station is doing the research for a law firm. Wouldn’t it be more prudent for any witnesses to contact the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department?
