Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley (SIGSCV) brought the Kentucky Derby to Downtown Main Street In Newhall for the 13th annual Wine Affair on Sunday.
Co-chairs Maggie-Mae Gaughan and Joshua Rivas invited members of the community to don big hats and pastel attire, place bets and sip, savor, and stroll along Main Street as they enjoyed wine, beer, cocktails, food, and live music during the 13th annual Wine Affair.
“Once again, we are very excited to bring this event back to Main Street in downtown Newhall,” stated Gaughan and Rivas in a previous release. This is such a great opportunity for community partners to team with us for such a good cause. Proceeds from this event will go towards supporting our programs and projects which include our Live Your Dream Awards, Dream It Be It Program, and the Go Girls.”
The SIGSCV Dream Programs motivate girls to plan their future and encourage girls’ and women’s future success, according to officials.
