Dig Deep Theatre’s highly anticipated production of Kenneth Lonergan’s This Is Our Youth, originally scheduled to run for nine performances over two weekends at The MAIN in Santa Clarita later this month, has been canceled.

In a statement from Artistic Director Shawnee Badger at Dig Deep, shared Wednesday, the company expressed heartbreak over the decision:

“I just wanted to reach out because we had some very difficult and unprecedented and uncontrollable emergencies and difficulties happen with the show This Is Our Youth, and we made the very difficult decision to cancel the show.”

The cancellation marks an unexpected and emotional turn for Dig Deep, a company known for its commitment to actor-driven productions.

No further details were released regarding the nature of the emergencies, but the company emphasized that the circumstances were beyond their control.

All Dig Deep shows at the MAIN are now canceled.
