Update: Ski Wear Outlet Announces Big Blowout Sale Prior To Close

The Ski Wear Outlet owner shocked Santa Clarita residents last month announcing that the cherished business will be closing. Recently, she has set a tentative date for the closing day, also adding on a huge sale.

Melanie Teller, owner of Ski Wear Outlet for 36 years, announced in January the closing of her beloved store. Now, Teller has announced that she is planning a big blowout sale in March and placed a closing date for the store.

Ski Wear Outlet sells everything you need for snowy weather, including clothing and gear for winter recreational activities.

“This is a big hurdle,” Teller said in regards to her business. She is currently still in the process of selling the last of her stock before moving to Oklahoma.

To sell as much as she can before starting the next chapter of her life, Teller is hosting a big blowout sale on the first weekend of March, March 7 to March 8. For the amount of the purchased items that is sold, you can get that amount in store credit.

For example, if you buy an item at $50, then you will get $50 in store credit to buy something else from Ski Wear Outlet. The store currently is still hosting their buy-one-get-one 50% off sale.

Not only will she sell her entire stock of winter items, she will also be selling the decor off her walls and on the shelves. Teller has recently shared that her racks are starting to empty out so don’t wait to stop by for your ski wear needs.

Teller reflected on the time after announcing the store closing with fullness in her heart. “It’s wonderful to be here and see all the old customers,” said Teller, shedding a few tears.

The Ski Wear Outlet closing date is set for March 8, and can possibly change in the coming weeks. Offers to buy the Ski Wear Outlet business is still on the table.

Starting out as a vendor at the Saugus swap meet to having a store at Granary Square, this staple in the community has cemented its place in the history of Santa Clarita.
