Although pet grooming salons are essential business for our pets, some remains open like Petco and Petsmart. I 5ake my dog to Precious Pets in Canyon Country, they remain closed per Orders of the sheriff department. They were told that if they open , they will be fined $5000 per day! Why are the small businesses like Precious Pets have to close while the bigger national ones remaining open? Not only have their employees been laid off without pay indefinitely, but my dog NEEDS grooming and TLC which as a disabled person, I can not provide. Please investigate and advise as to why?
Thank you in advance.

I’d like to know how optical services like those offered at Costco are closed. They have been deemed non-essential but they are in fact an essential service for those who require eyeglasses to drive a motor vehicle.
This entire situation has been mismanaged from the start. Now hearing that the 4 step plan of Newsom’s won’t have hair salons/barbers being able to open until step 3 of the plan and that is months away. Could be August, could be November, which is ridiculous. Going into step 2 literally will be nothing more than opening some manufacturing. But that too is weeks away until contact tracing can be demonstrated as well as sufficient PPE supplies for hospitals. It’s written almost from a point that makes it next to impossible to get to step 2. People are restless now. They will never sit in their homes all through the summer months not able to go to parks, beaches, etc. So effectively the state of California under the direction of Gavin Newsom is holding 40 million people hostage until they think things are good. Sports won’t be happening fully for several months into possibly next year. That would happen in Step 4. Does the governor really think that people are going to just sit home and take what they determine can open and what can’t? If I didn’t know better I’d think there was an ulterior motive behind this plan. I mean I’m sure that it has nothing to do with an election. That would be beyond stupid right?
