Deputies are investigating after four suspects allegedly assaulted an Amazon employee in Valencia Wednesday. 

Around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, deputies received reports of an assault near the Starbucks on the 28100 block of The Old Road in Valencia, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

“(It was) reported four male Hispanic adults exited a Ford Ranger and attacked a male white adult,” Arriaga said.

The victim, Jonathan, an off-duty Amazon employee in uniform, was on his way to work when the assault happened.  

“I was sitting in my car, and someone came up and spit on my window,” Jonathan said. “I got out of my car and asked him why he spit on my window. He didn’t want to talk, he just came up to me, cussed at me and punched me in the face. He didn’t give me any warnings like ‘put your hands up’ or ‘let’s fight’, he just sucker-punched me in the face.”

The four suspects fled out of view and remain at large.
