The victim said she fell behind her teammates at soccer practice during a run when she was approached by a man who asked if he could give her a ride, said Shirley Miller, public information officer for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“She declined and then he grabbed her arm and moved her a short distance,” Miller said. “The victim broke free of his grasp and the suspect went to a vehicle described as a black Honda or Toyota and fled.”

The suspect is described as a white male with brown hair, 40-50 years old, 6’5” to 6’6”, weighing 150-175 pounds and wearing a black jacket and jeans.

After the victim told her father what happened, a report was filed with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, Miller said.

Bridgeport Park is located at Bridgeport Lane and Waterside Court in Valencia.

The incident is currently under investigation, and the suspect was at large as of 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
