A Canyon Country man was arrested on multiple charges after drug paraphernalia and stolen mail was found in his vehicle during a traffic stop Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday around 6:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near River Circle and Nugget Drives in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
After deputies made contact with the driver, they learned he was driving on a suspended license, according to Sheriff’s officials.
“A search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of drug paraphernalia and several pieces of mail not named to him,” Arriaga said.
Kevin Gunnison, 35, from Canyon Country, was arrested on a felony charge of identity theft and a misdemeanor charge of being in possession of drug paraphernalia, Arriaga added.
Gunnison was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s jail with bail set at $51,300, according to arrest records.
