Canyon Country Man Charged With Felony After Threatening Landlord With Imitation Firearm

A Canyon Country man was charged with a felony Sunday after threatening his landlord with an imitation firearm, officials said.

On June 28, around 12 a.m., deputies responded to the 28300 block of Sand Canyon Road, Canyon Country regarding a landlord and tenant dispute for a possible man with a gun call, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect had been renting a room from the victim,” Miller said. “The victim and suspect reportedly got into a verbal argument.”

During the argument, the suspect threatened the victim and exposed under his shirt what the victim perceived to possibly be a handgun, according to Miller

Upon deputies’ arrival, they located and detained the suspect, Robert White, 33, of Canyon Country, according to Sheriff’s officials.

A pellet gun was recovered from the scene, Miller said

According to the California Penal Code, an imitation firearm is any BB device, toy gun, replica of a firearm or other device that is so substantially similar in coloration and overall appearance to an existing firearm as to lead a reasonable person to perceive that the device is a firearm.

White was arrested on felony charges of criminal threats and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to arrest records.

  1. The Idiot was lucky he wasn’t shot!! But if he was, if he wasn’t black, as usual it would have never been reported on media!

  2. In Texas he would have been in jail until his court date “came up”

  3. Not to mention to perform free sex——
