Canyon Country Structure Fire Uncovers Illegal Marijuana Cultivation, One Arrest Made

A Canyon Country garage fire uncovered an illegal marijuana grow operation Saturday afternoon, resulting in one arrest.

Around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders received reports of a structure fire on the 19600 block of Aldbury Street in Canyon Country, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It was reported smoke was seen coming from the garage,” Arriaga said.

When emergency responders arrived on-scene, a sizable marijuana grow with at least several plants was observed to be taking over the garage, according to officials.

“During the investigation, deputies learned the suspect, who later arrived on scene, was responsible for the residence and had knowledge of the illegal marijuana cultivation,” Arriaga said.

Aslanbek Adaev, 31, was arrested for the illegal cultivation of marijuana.

He was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and subsequently released on citation to appear in court at a later date.

  1. Wanna know the difference between a legal and an illegal marijuana “grow operation” in California? The legal ones give a cut to the Democrats in Sacramento and LA County Supervisors. An illegal one does not.

Eight women were violently raped in the City of LA in the last week alone. But that doesn’t matter, what matters is that Democrat politicians get their cut of the drug trade.

  2. Sweet ganja goo-balls, looks like we got ourselves a fire on the mountain. Hope the neighbors stopped by for a good whiff

  3. And obviously smoking lots of it evidenced with all the horrible taxes they grab & laws they ignore!

  4. Johnny, haven’t said anything yet with my clear mind & heart of my disgust with the way Liberals are ruining our once wonderful world! Just look at what the Liberal creatures have degenerated from Seattle to LA, Chicago, Baltimore, Minneapolis, Kenosha, Michigan, NY, etc.!! Truth/Facts matter! Wake up, not Woke up Sheeple!!

    • If you are not high, then getting high should alleviate the symptoms you cause comments readers, while scientist research the root cause of your cognitive malfunction.

  5. Tax revenue goes to all in Sacramento.

  6. Voters legalized Marijuana. LA County refuses the will of the voters and caused all these illegal grows of a legal substance.
Legal, regulated and taxed grows would solve the County’s self-inflicted crisis. Instead County spends millions more to illegalize the legal.
