A Canyon Country woman was arrested Friday after she allegedly left three children unattended in a vehicle while shopping.

Around 7:30 p.m. Friday, deputies received reports of three children left in a vehicle in the 16400 block of Village Way in Canyon Country, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The outside temperature was high, and the vehicle’s air conditioning was not running,” Miller said.

It was determined the suspect left the children in the vehicle while shopping at one of the nearby stores, according to Sheriff’s officials.

“The children were medically assessed and were deemed not to be in need of medical treatment,” Miller added.

Tagui Galstian, 41, of Canyon Country, was arrested on misdemeanor child endangerment.

She was transported and booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
