Containment Set Up For Wanted Narcotics Suspect In Newhall

A containment area was constructed by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies in Newhall in search of a wanted narcotics suspect Wednesday.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a call was received by Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for a wanted narcotics suspect near the intersection of 11th and Walnut St., according to SCV Sheriff’s Station Watch Sgt. Robert Gonzalez.

“They were looking for a narcotics suspect but they couldn’t catch him, he fled the scene,” said Sgt. Gonzalez.

The containment was reported to be broken down with no arrests made at the time, according to Santa Clarita Sheriff Station officials.
