A report of an unconscious man in a car in Canyon Country led to the arrest of a convicted felon in possession of ammunition Thursday.
Around 6:40 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a call for service of a person down on Nadal Street and Camp Plenty Road, a few hundred feet from Canyon High School in Canyon Country, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Office.
“Upon waking up the male and speaking with him, (deputies) learned the male possessed drug paraphernalia inside the car,” Arriaga said.
This led deputies to search the vehicle, in which deputies found the aforementioned drug paraphernalia, prescription pills not prescribed to the man, ammunition and a stun gun, Arriaga added.
“The male, who is a convicted felon, was arrested for possession of ammunition and stun gun, among other charges,” Arriaga said.
Tye Pipho, 30, from Canyon Country, was booked into the SCV Sheriff’s Station and remains in custody as of Thursday morning, Arriaga added.
