“Around 2 p.m., the suspect came out of the house, and had said he was sleeping,” Shirley Miller, spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, said at the time of the incident. “We took him into custody peacefully. There were no injuries and the neighborhood has been rendered safe.”

After being taken into custody, deputies issued a warrant to search the home and discovered 144 firearms inside the residence, Sheriff’s officials said.

Mount is scheduled to return to court June 29 for a preliminary setting continuation.
