Jonathan Blake Heely, a former Disney executive from Saugus charged with sexually assaulting two children over a span of six years, returned to court Tuesday to continue with his retrial.
The retrial was initially set for Heely, 58, when the original jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, according to Ricardo Santiago, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
In Dec. 2017, Heely was charged with three felony counts of lewd acts with a child, the earliest of which is alleged to have first occurred in August 2004.

He is alleged to have “willfully, unlawfully and lewdly committed a lewd and lascivious act upon and with the body and certain parts and members thereof (Victim 1), a child under the age of 14 years, with the intent of arousing, appealing to and gratifying the lust, passions and sexual desires of the said defendant and the said child,” according to court documents.
Heely was suspended from Disney upon the company becoming informed of the charges, according to a Disney spokesperson.
The allegations outline the timeline of the abuse of two victims, identified as Victim 1 and Victim 2.
Incidents involving Victim 2 are alleged to have occurred between August 2004 and August 2005, according to the criminal complaint.
The complaints identified the period from June 2006 and June 2010 as the time frame of Victim 1’s alleged abuse.
Booking records reveal that Heely was released on $150,000 bail in December 2017.
Heely’s retrial is set to continue on July 23 with motions.
