Dealio Lockhart, 38, is charged with three counts of second-degree murder and four counts of reckless driving causing injury.

On Feb. 27, 2016, Lockhart was allegedly racing his Dodge Challenger with another vehicle around midnight when a collision involving more than 10 cars occurred near the City of Commerce.

Killed in the crash were Santa Clarita residents and College of the Canyons students Brian Lewandowski, 18, and Michelle Littlefield, 19, as well as UPS driver Scott Treadway, 52, according to officials.

In addition to the three fatalities, four others were seriously injured: two men in one vehicle, and a man and a woman in separate cars.

Lockhart faces life in prison if convicted, according to officials.

He is currently being held at the Men’s Central Jail in Los Angeles with bail set at $6.2 million.

Lockhart is scheduled to return to court on Feb. 25 for a preliminary hearing setting.
