Deputies are continuing their investigation after nine bullets were fired at a home Saturday night in a Saugus shooting.
Around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 17900 block of Spire Court in Saugus regarding a Saugus shooting where gun shots were heard, possibly resulting in a broken window to the home, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Approximately nine bullets were fired into the residence, mostly striking the dining room and a bedroom, according to the homeowners.
Residents suspect that the shooting may have been meant for another target, due to another recent incident that had been connected to a nearby address.
“Bullets were found lodged into the walls of the home and expended casings outside,” Arriaga said.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-260-4000.
Anonymous tips can be submitted via L.A. Crime Stoppers.
