Around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, emergency responders received multiple calls due to gunshots heard in a Newhall Neighborhood near 15th Street and Walnut Avenue, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD).

“We got a report of a gunshot wound, we’re staging,” said Supervisor Imy McBride with the LACoFD.

Although initial reports stated that there were multiple gunshot victims, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials could only confirm at least one gunshot victim was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.

“There was a shooting around 15th Street and Walnut in Newhall, we’re holding at the scene of the initial call,” said the Santa Clarita Watch Sgt. on duty.

Multiple witnesses reported hearing three gunshots around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday around the area of the initial call.

The gunshot victim experienced non-life threatening injuries, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

  1. Yep, good ole Walnut St. &/or Jakes Way streets areas! What type of people are causing these constant crimes?! Gangs?!

  2. Poverty ain’t pretty. Shouldn’t be perpetual, either.

    There but for fortune…

  3. How much longer do we keep tolerating this activity in these communities folks?……

  4. Until DemoRats STOP Defunding Cops this will Always happen.

  5. “Gangs” are quarantining folks! So no worries!!”Those people” who cause that, are simply crazies who like to shoot. Guns don’t discriminate…the shooter can be anyone.

    • Guns don’t discriminate, the murderers usually murder dozens of criminals of the same races every week in the cities! The Liberals & bad guys want police defunding, but decent tax paying citizens want more funds & police, because the decent citizens have nothing to fear with that!
