Jonathan Blake Heely, 58, the director of Music Publishing at The Walt Disney Company, was scheduled to appear in court today after being ordered to stand trial for sexually abusing two of his family members.

“Heely is charged with sexually assaulting female family members who were between the ages of 11 and 16 at the time of the alleged offenses, according to evidence presented at the preliminary hearing,” the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. “The alleged abuse took place between 2006 and 2010, according to the criminal complaint.”

The former Disney executive has been charged with three counts of lewd act upon a child and one misdemeanor count of child molesting, according to officials at the D.A.’s office.

“Bail is set at $140,000 (and) if convicted as charged, Heely faces a possible maximum sentence of 10 years and four months in state prison,” officials said.

A Disney spokesman said the company suspended Heely back in December of 2017, after being informed of the charges when they were first reported by Variety.

“Immediately upon learning of this situation tonight, he has been suspended without pay until the matter is resolved by the courts,” the spokesman said last year.

Heely was arrested Nov. 16 by deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, according to Variety’s initial report.

The case remains under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
