A Tehachapi man was arrested for alleged DUI after causing a head-on Crash in Valencia Saturday sending at least two people to the hospital. 

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, California Highway Patrol (CHP) Newhall Area units received reports of a multi-vehicle crash on The Old Road south of Rye Canyon Road in Valencia, said Officer Carlos Burgos-Lopez, spokesperson for the CHP Newhall Area Office.

“Units arrived on scene to find five vehicles involved in the crash with one of the vehicles overturning,” Burgos-Lopez said.

Initial investigation revealed one of the vehicles which was traveling southbound at the time traveled into the northbound lanes crashing head-on into two vehicles and simultaneously causing an additional two vehicle crash, according to CHP officials.

The driver of the wrong way vehicle, Daniel Oseguera, 63, from Tehachapi, was placed under arrest for felony suspicion of DUI.

“Two additional parties involved in the crash were transported to Henry Mayo Hospital due to their injuries,” Burgos-Lopez said.

Oseguera was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.
