Felony Vandalism Suspect Arrested After Punching, Striking Multiple Vehicles In Santa Clarita

A felony vandalism suspect was arrested Tuesday evening after he allegedly punched several vehicles causing damage in Santa Clarita.

On Tuesday evening, deputies responded to Bouquet Canyon Road and Urbandale Avenue in Saugus regarding a vandalism call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“It was reported a male adult was hitting multiple vehicles,” Arriaga said.

Upon arrival, deputies detained a man matching the suspect description near the intersection of Urbandale Avenue and Bouquet Canyon Road, Arriaga said.

“During investigation, deputies learned while the victim was driving southbound on Bouquet Canyon Road and Urbandale Avenue, the suspect approached the victim’s vehicle, causing the victim to stop his vehicle in place, and yelled obscenities at the victim,” Arriaga said.

The suspect then began punching the victim’s vehicle several times, and hit the vehicle with an unknown object, causing damage to the vehicle, according to Sheriff’s officials.

The victim left the location in order to contact law enforcement personnel.

Moments later, a second victim informed deputies he was stopped at the same location when the suspect approached his vehicle and began screaming at him, according to Arriaga.

“The suspect then began punching the victim’s vehicle, causing damage,” Arriaga said.

The suspect proceeded to approach a third victim who notified deputies that he was parked at a gas station on the 27700 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus when the suspect walked up to and began yelling obscenities at him, Arriaga said.

The suspect then approached the victim’s vehicle and punched it, causing damage to the vehicle, according to officials.

“Multiple victims positively identified the male detained as the suspect from the incidents,” Arriaga said.

Evan Sears was arrested for felony vandalism, Arriaga added.

Sears was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail.

  1. Good ole mental illness + Meth &/or a follower of AOC who hates cars/oil/life

  2. This is not a Newsom, Gascon or an AOC issue. None of that is based in fact and is way to simple and silly. So a known transient with serious mental and or drug problem was back on the street after being arrested in Jan for yelling obscenities and masturbating in front of a mother and her 13 year old daughter as they exited Food 4 Less store in Canyon Country and has lost his mind once again. There used to be mental hospitals and laws to remand these people but they were all closed 40-50 years back by Reagan. Now there are no facilities for people like this except the criminal justice system so these people are part of the revolving door which also disenchant and bog down our cops. This is not a liberal issue but one of not having a proper system to keep these people with mental conditions most with addictions off the street. Jail does not work as they are not equipped for this. It seems akin to placing vicious dogs in reformed school. Who knew in May 21 he would attack people in cars? Nobody but inevitable and he should still be in an institution but they don’t exist.

  3. This guy is nothing but a slob I named him the crisco kid he leaves a big mess on the bus stop bench daily. There is no reason he can’t find a job other than he’s a worthless druggie that is a drain on our society.

    • Couldn’t agree more . He’s a two time felon , lives in the bushes and wash along Bouquet Cyn. He can always be found between Plum and Seco CYN on a regular basis. His court date is scheduled for today.

  4. Defund the Bullet Train & build more mental & prison institutions, unfortunately. Plenty of desert to build both & Vagrant housing!

  5. ??the crisco kid needs to find a job?? the crisco kid is a nasty slob??the crisco kid sits on the bus bench all day like a big stinky blob

  6. It was taking a break from starting more fires & breaking into cars/homes!

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
