Fentanyl, Meth Recovered From Stevenson Ranch Convicted Felon

A Stevenson Ranch convicted felon, who allegedly lied about being on probation, was arrested after he was found in possession of a “large amount” of methamphetamine and fentanyl Monday.

Around 5 p.m. Monday, deputies with the Juvenile Intervention Team (J-Team) identified a vehicle not adhering to vehicle code near Hemmingway Avenue and Burns Place in Stevenson Ranch, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“While contacting the male driver during a traffic stop, he attempted to lie about being on active probation,” Arriaga said. “A search of the male resulted in the recovery of a switchblade knife.”

Through record checks, the man was confirmed to be on active felony probation, according to officials.

“A probation compliance search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of two firearms, a large amount of methamphetamine and a large amount of fentanyl,” Arriaga said. (J-Team deputies continued with a probation compliance search at his residence on the 25700 block of Barnett Lane in Stevenson Ranch and located multiple firearms, ammunition, a large amount of fentanyl, a large amount of methamphetamine, contraband for use of sales of narcotics and more.”

Alec Bruce, 31, from Stevenson Ranch, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance while armed with a loaded firearm, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and more, Arriaga 1dised.

Bruce was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond, Arriaga said.

  1. Yea Gascon. He is out on bail.

  2. Thanks GasCon & Liberals for allowing soft on crime & open borders!

  3. He is a convicted felon on probation with drugs and a fire arm and ammo. How is he given the right for bail. He violated his probation which means straight back to jail. No bail! No bond. This is just wrong.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
