A Frazier Park woman was arrested by deputies Monday from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station after they discovered heroin in her vehicle, officials said.
On Monday, Dec. 23, deputies patrolling at the Newhall Park and Ride near the intersection of Newhall Avenue and Sierra Highway noticed a parked vehicle with two people inside, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station in a social media post.
“Due to the hour of the night, they made contact to see if everything was ok. Although the couple claimed everything was fine, and said they were waiting for car parts for an engine problem, deputies couldn’t help but notice the bag of heroin sitting in the vehicle,” Miller said.
Deputies searched the vehicle and discovered “a large quantity of narcotics” and a digital scale, according to Sheriff’s officials.
The Frazier Park woman was arrested on charges of felony narcotics sales and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s jail.
