Gunshots Reportedly Fired During Canyon Country Altercation

Deputies are investigating an altercation in Canyon Country were gunshots were reportedly fired Tuesday night.

At around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, officials with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station received reports of a shooting on the 15800 block of Ada Street in Canyon Country.

“It appears to be a domestic dispute where a firearm was utilized,” said Sergeant Andrade with the station. “Deputies are still out there conducting their investigation.”

Andrade confirmed that while shots were reportedly fired over the course of the altercation, they were “not necessarily shot at someone.”

Deputies reportedly took several guns from the residence over the course of the investigation, according to officials on scene.

While officials could not confirm whether or not any individuals had been detained, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

The exact circumstances leading up to the reported shooting were still under investigation as of Tuesday night.
