A William S. Hart Union High School District teacher was arrested over the weekend for domestic assault.

Around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to the 27600 block of Ron Ridge Drive, in Santa Clarita regarding a domestic violence call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“During a verbal argument between the suspect and her husband, the suspect physically assaulted the victim,” Arriaga said.

The victim sustained minor injury.

Valerie Blair, 41, from Saugus, who is also a teacher for the Hart District, was arrested on scene for felony domestic assault, according to Arriaga.

Hart District officials confirmed Blair is an employee of the District, but cannot otherwise comment.

Blair was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station and later released on bond, according to Arriaga.
