A man was arrested for indecent exposure after he allegedly exposed his genitals at a bus stop in Newhall Monday morning.  

Around 9 a.m. Monday, deputies responded to Lyons and Peachland Avenues in Newhall regarding an indecent exposure call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

“It was reported a male Hispanic adult was acting aggressive and exposing himself,” Arriaga said.  

Upon arrival, deputies detained a man matching the suspect description. 

“During investigation, deputies learned the suspect was observed grabbing his genitals near a bus stop.  He then exposed his genitals,” Arriaga said.  

The male detained was positively identified as the suspect.  

Maximiliano Gomez Barris, 44, from Castaic, was arrested and booked for misdemeanor indecent exposure, Arriaga added. 

He was subsequently released on citation to appear in court at a later date, Arriaga said.
