A Newhall man was arrested on a slew of felonies Saturday, including kidnapping after a fight with his girlfriend.

Just after midnight Saturday, deputies responded to a domestic violence call between a dating couple near Park and Race Streets in Newhall, said Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The suspect allegedly dragged the victim against her will and physically shoved her multiple times,” Miller said.

Jose Mora, 27, from Newhall, was arrested on felony charges of kidnapping, domestic violence and resisting arrest, according to Miller.

Mora was transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s jail.
