A man was arrested after he allegedly threw a brick at his neighbor after he complained about the suspect’s dog barking.

Around 9 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to the 29700 block of Cromwell Avenue in Val Verde regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“The victim, a male adult, and (the suspect) were in a verbal argument over (the suspects) barking dog, which had reportedly been an ongoing issue,” Miller said.

During the argument, the suspect allegedly threw a brick towards the victim’s head, striking him in the arm, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Enrique Deltoro, 47, from Val Verde, was arrested for felony assault with a deadly weapon.

Deltoro was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail and released on bond on Oct. 20.
